The Events Office introduces students to a variety of new skills and tools they can use in growing industries and career fields. The students, with the help of professional staff colleagues, engage in professional, technical, and leadership training that prepares them for success not only in the work of the office, but also transferable, job and career-ready skills. Students are able to gain valuable knowledge while also earning income as part-time district employees in the role of Event Technicians. This gives students experience in managing the additional responsibilities associated with employment, balancing work with school and other extra-curricular activities, and also managing income and finances.
