STUDENT INSIGHTS

We are a group of professionally trained students who work real events to benefit our community and Cobb County School District. We learn about specific trades to specialize in, but also have fun while doing so.

– W.K.

I work with programs such as Blender, Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, and PhotoShop to create content that gets displayed at events. I also compile and edit recordings of events.

– J.K.

In the events office, we make events happen no matter what.

– A.S.

For me, a typical day in the Events class looks different every day. Some days I might be packing or unpacking for an event. Other days, I might be testing the green screen or learning new features on the Saphyr. The variety of work we do makes this class so interesting each day.

– A.J.

I applied to work in the Events Office because I believed it would benefit me to apply myself to something new so I could improve myself, learn new techniques and meet new people.

-H.B.

It has taught me different aspects of leadership, hard work, and perseverance. It has also taught me many different things about technology that I never knew before.

-W.C.

A typical day would mean doing a variety of things, depending on the event that is coming up and what everyone’s talent/specialty is. It could include editing, moving cases, practicing your skills, going to/working/loading-in an event, and much more.
